ALINA & JAMES // LOS ANGELES, CA PRIVATE ESTATE WEDDING

January 1, 2019

WEDDINGS

Alina & James share a passion for art and movies. When we were communicating through email, they conveyed to me that they wanted to incorporate those interests into their wedding photos.  Perfect. A couple after my own heart, I jumped at the opportunity for something different and creative.
We agreed on the Broad Museum in downtown Los Angeles.  The employees were so kind and accommodating. They let us go straight to Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Room where we got our quick 1 minute photoshoot.  After that, we roamed the museum as if we were a couple of long-time friends, laughing and enjoying the quirky artwork.  Human connection makes for impactful photography and when it comes naturally, it shows.
We were having such a good time, we almost forgot we still had a wedding to attend.  The ceremony and reception took place at the groom’s fathers private estate.  A home reminiscent of a small french estate, the backyard was transformed into a classic black & white ceremony & reception.
It was a case of the June Gloom that day. It almost never rains in LA, especially in the summer, but unexpectedly it began to rain.  We said our little prayers and right on cue, the rain stopped right before the ceremony and stopped the rest of the evening.  It was a perfect day and a big thank you to Debby from Amber Events for coordinating everything and making sure everything went smoothly.
